Homework
General Information on homework:
We aim to encourage reading as much as possible. The children are welcome to use the class library and borrow books which they may take home and return when finished. We also suggest that all children join their local library, which is free.
- Following school policy, homework is given from Monday to Thursday.
- As your child is now in 3rd class, homework should take about 30 - 40 minutes to complete. If you find it is regularly taking longer, please let us know.
- Léigh sa Bhaile Gaeilge reader will be given every night. There will be an audio reading of the page uploaded on the class blog under "Gaeilge". Please listen to this and read along with it as it will help with pronunciation.
- Talking Tuesday – a piece of oral homework is given to all classes in the school on Tuesdays to encourage questioning and conversation.
- Word Problem Wednesday – a Maths word problem will be given on Wednesdays as part of Maths homework.
